SHADOW POST
With the Haling High students rescued, the weather around town returning to normal, and talk of the upcoming Valentine's dance beginning to spread, the students of Finchwood Academy have been taking small steps toward cautious optimism for the last few days. Tonight, though, nothing feels quite right. While some are determined to ignore this sense of dread and enjoy their Saturday night, others can't and are left waiting for something to happen. With the snow falling outside and the wind whipping around the dorm, it finally does. At 10:53PM, all open journals suddenly slam themselves shut. When they're re-opened, thick black ink seems to be bleeding out of the page. Before it can spill over the edge, though, the ink reforms itself into letters:
Below this, words begin to appear. As before, the handwriting is unfamiliar but some students are stunned to recognize their own thoughts, feelings, and secrets taking shape in front of them. Do the others know too? Soon, the words stop coming and the students find that they're able to write on the post as usual. But it's not like usual. None of what's written on this page is identified and the black, jagged letters stand out among page after page of blue.
How is this happening?
At 12:06AM, the black ink rises out of the paper again and overtakes the post until the page is entirely obscured.
SHOW ME YOUR TRUE SELF.

HOW THIS WORKS
- The Shadow Post reveals some of the inner thoughts, feelings, and secrets of those living at Finchwood Academy. These seem to have been plucked directly from people's heads rather than from previous conversations or journal exchanges, as some of them have never been acknowledged aloud or in writing.
- Nothing on the Shadow Post can be identified as coming from a particular source. This includes the initial post, the secrets that followed, and any additional comments written in by the students. The names that typically accompany everything written in the journals are absent and all handwriting is unrecognizable. Any doodles or drawings characters might do appear as nondescript blobs of ink.
- Characters can guess at each other's identities or secrets, but please be realistic about this and don't abuse OOC knowledge.
- The Shadow Post only exists for a limited time, from 10:53PM to 12:06AM (EST). After that, black ink overtakes the page. This means that the entry will be gone. Quick-thinking students may photograph it if they wish, though.
- To make the post easier to navigate, please include a subject line for each new top level comment.
