Fortunately, by the time Venus bursts into the room without warning, Selby and Hadlee are done with makeup, so startling the pair doesn't lead to any smeared mascara or poked eyeballs. Selby, who is trying to get his antlers evenly placed in his hair, jumps a little before he glances over with a smile. "Foxes have whiskers," he confirms helpfully, "But I think they're probably costume-optional."
While this is his first costume requiring animal makeup, they've practiced enough this week that he feels pretty confident about it now, so his answer to the question is almost immediate. "Either way, we can give you a hand!"
