While this hasn't been a bad night for Donovan, he'd felt more restless than anything after the music had stopped and the lights had come up and he'd been murdered by the Student Council president. That's probably why he'd stopped here instead of going up to his room to hit the books or just go to sleep. Now, scrolling idly through the various feeds on his phone and barely focusing on any of it, he's still restless. Part of him knows why but dwelling on the fact that Cecilia had chosen some dimwitted jock over him and apparently had a great time (not that he'd noticed) isn't going to make tonight feel like less of a waste. It's pointless and he refuses to get caught up in something like that.
Unaware that he's being observed, he pauses when the text message pops up on his phone's screen. Cecilia can see as he stares at it for a long moment, makes a face, and then drops the device onto the coffee table with a sharp exhalation of breath, apparently intending to pretend he hadn't seen it.
