Prom might not be ready for Pearl, but it definitely isn't ready for Ces. Pearl's barely ready for her, and she gets undeniably starry-eyed every time the other girl is even a little at her side. That cloak-blazer's probably a good idea. She'd sparkle and blind everyone otherwise.
She thinks better of the drink even before it gets to Ces's hand, and she draws it back. "Well I was gonna say to YOU, but I don't think this would do it. It's...so gross." She confides. Even Pearl can see this is maybe cruel.
