Uhhh so me and Merry went out with the staff to investigate that rift near the lighthouse that just opened without warning but it was already closed by the time we got there. What's really got us stressed is the freshly abandoned HCHS school bus parked nearby with the engine still running. It looked like they were traveling to a track meet and just decided to pull over and yeet themselves into the r get out of the bus. Their bags and gear and coolers were all still inside, but it was like the people had just vanished. Lenore thinks they lured into the rift through a Shadow's thrall.

Exploration has now escalated to Rescue Mission and we'll need to be prepared for the moment the rift opens up again. Hopefully our next window will last longer than it did today.

This is the most important mission this school has been given so they're sending in the Big Guns (aka us) to deal with this. That means we're on-call until the next rift opens and we gotta be ready to whoop some Shadow ass at a moment's notice. I'll need you guys to stay on campus until then. If you wanna wear comf your favorite ass-kicking shoes with your uniform instead of those loafers, now's the time cause they gotta give us a free pass since we're just trying to be more efficient at saving lives.

We obviously don't know how long it will be before the rift opens, but this isn't just another exploration — this is a job, and some kid who smiles too much people are relying on us. I want to trust no one is going to eat anything, or run through mirrors, or pull out a Ouija board while we're there. I'm even holding myself accountable here.
